Gaussian Splats
Example Setup with Houdini and RenderMan 28

Open Gaussian_Splats_v2.hip. Keep pixar-lamp-and-ball.usdc beside it.
The asset path is $HIP/pixar-lamp-and-ball.usdc.

In Solaris, go to /stage:
  1. Display VIEW_FINAL_SCENE.
  2. Choose /cameras/main and RenderMan XPU - CPU in the viewport.
  3. Select STYLIZE_YOUR_SPLAT once. Choose a Look and adjust it here.
  4. RENDER_IMAGE > Render to Disk writes an EXR to $HIP/render.

As Captured is the default. Each style starts from that same source.
Controls for the selected style appear at the top level. Stay at /stage.
The internal SOP preview looks different from the final splat render.

Tested: Houdini 22.0.429 and RenderMan 28.0b1, XPU CPU, Windows.
Requires compatible RenderMan for Houdini, splat support, and render license.
The HIP contains standard nodes and channel references, with no custom code.
No relighting. The scan includes its captured illumination and shadows.

The HIP saves this built-in OCIO configuration:
